taking a leap

Welcome to my blog!  I am new at this, so bear with me as I learn the ins and outs.  Today's fascinating post is about...er....umm...ahh....FALL (original, n'est-ce-pas?).  Except of course it feels like the summer that we didn't really have.  If you are a horse owner in these parts, the big topic of discussion is HAY.   The long rainy summer resulted in hay that grew like gangbusters, but it was almost impossible to get it off the field, since it didn't stop raining long enough for the hay to dry and be baled up.  The result is hard- to- find hay at high prices.  We did manage to find some, and it looks pretty good.  It really is comforting to have a good supply of hay, it gives one the fortitude to face winter in the certain knowledge that the horses will be well-fed.                                                                                                                                                                                 Looks pretty good, huh?  Warms the cockles of your heart, doesn't it?  Well, it warms mine, anyway.   So that's is for today, folks, stay tuned for WAY more excitement.....I'm just getting warmed up, really...

Well with a name like Hayseed, how could I not drop by?

I know with the hay. You must be in Ontario too. Im not sure where our winter hay is coming from, and it's right about now that I start getting nervous! I should have bought that wagon load in May when it was still for sale!!!

It's true - a full haymow is a good feeling!

WooHoo! Thanks heidi for leaving a comment-I'm honoured. Yes, we are in Ontario. Now I'm just waiting for cooler weather and no flies-that'll be a nice change

I thought I would drop by uninvited and say hello, too. I saw you over at Heidi's, but you may not be ready for me. I'm one of those guys your mother warned you about.

It's coffeYpot, not coffeEpot. Coffee is what you drink. Coffey is what you swoon over, have dreams about and leave your husband for. That is if you like 64 year old men who have a perverted streak and humongous love of the laugh.

sorry coffeYpot. Wasn't sure I should reply as I don't want to be encouraging any perverted 64-year old men with a humongous love of the laugh
