gasp

This morning the thermometer read -30C (that's -20 something F, I think).

This means that the moment you went outside, your breath was stolen from you by the dry cold, and you were left gasping.

It was that hovering, still, windless, BURNING cold.

Ice on your eyelashes cold.

Frost on your whiskers cold.

'Double rations plus extra grain' cold.....are you getting the picture??

At least the sun is out, and the day is bright.  Stay warm, wherever you are today.

I do not know how you stand it!

But then I'm a fourth generation Floridian who moved way up north to Atlanta.

It looks pretty, at least!

I was complaining because it was +20 F, don't know how you do it, I'm too much of a wuss, don't know if I'd make it to the barn. We will be warming up here this weekend, hope soon for you as well

Great pics, LOVE the horse shots! You sure are not alone, its exactly the same here in my part of the world, brrrr! But there is something about that solid squeaky crunch underfoot in this cold cold weather that I love!

WOW! I've never experience temps that chilly! Stay warm and cozy.

On another note, I am sorry to hear about the sad loss of your friend and horse trainer. He sounded like a wonderful person to have working with your horse. The quiet unassuming ones are usually the best. Blessings to you and his.
