the season of mud

Is it a bit dreary where you are?  Are you looking for something pretty, a colourful diversion in your grey day?  Well, you won't find it here.

It's the season of mud, and if it isn't water-logged and damp and rain-soaked, ......it's stark.

I was going to show you a picture of my horses' feet in the muddy paddock, but I was afraid it would make you cry.  This is as close to the mud as I'll let you get.  yechh.

The only silver lining is that since the ground is so saturated, it will give up its grasp on any rocks and weeds and things I've been wanting to remove for a long time.  I imagine they will come out with a very satisfying squoosh.  I think I'll go find my rubber boots.  Girl's gotta have a little fun, you know.  Enjoy your day.

That muddy pasture looks all too familiar...are you sure you didn't snap a photo of My Boy's hangout??! ;) I think it'll be end of June before that mud is finally dried up!

It's slushy and muddy and snowy and hailing here too!

Hope you enjoy your squelching in the mud!

Ugh, I've had that mud before but right now we're beautiful, wish I could package some up and send to you. Temps are dropping some this weekend. We have the opposite here, mud doesn't last long because we need more rain, we've been hurting for pasture and hay do to drought the last few years.
Since you're in the mud anyway, make mud pies :)

We have more than our share of mud this winter too. I can't wait for spring and hopefully drier weather.

We still have snow on the ground, but 40s are coming and I'll be dealing with mud too. Still, I'm happy for any moisture as our summers have been way too dry lately.

Yep looks like our place too! Cant wait for the warmth...

Our guys are shedding...hair everywhere! But that is a good sign that spring is coming.
